Here’s everything you need to know about the Pop Art Cats (PAC) decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).

Ever since this project was launched on January 28th, 2022, 20% of all the royalties made from secondary sales have been accumulating in the treasury fund. As we’re writing this, there is 46.1 ETH in the treasury fund.

If you own one or more PACs, you can decide how you want to spend the treasury fund. You can submit proposals and vote for the ones you want to see come to life using snapshot.box

Submitting a new proposal on Snapshot.box

Before submitting your new proposal, we invite you to share it with other PAC holders through platforms like Discord and X to get some feedback.

To submit a new proposal, visit the “Proposals” tab, then follow the steps. Please use the “Proposal template” to create your new proposal. Failing to use the template will lead to the rejection of your proposal.

Anyone who owns at least one PAC can create a new proposal.

Once you publish your proposal, it will become visible to everyone instantly and its status will become “Pending” for 14 days.

During the 14 days period, your proposal will be reviewed by our team to make sure it respects the proposal guidelines. If rejected, your proposal will be cancelled before the 14 days period ends. If approved, your proposal status will become “Active” exactly 14 days after you submitted it.

Voting

Once a proposal becomes “Active”, PAC holders will have 14 days to vote “For”, “Against” or “Abstain”. Each PAC that you own gives you 1 voting power. The more PACs you have in your wallet, the more voting power you have. Voting is free. There are no gas fees involved.

If a proposal receives a majority of “For” votes, its status will become “Passed” and the proposal will be executed. If funds are involved, they will be allocated accordingly.

If a proposal receives a majority of “Against” votes, its status will become “Rejected” and the proposal won’t be executed. Rejected proposals can be revised and submitted again.
